Susanna Wesley House's Staff is comprised of strong leadership, committed staff, and volunteers. Our staff is deeply committed to mission driven work and person-centered services. They are dedicated to ensuring that we exceed the expectations of our clients and stakeholders here at Susanna Wesley House.
Executive Director
Kenyona Davis
Kenyona Davis holds a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University in New York City. She has successfully owned and managed mental health and substance use facilities in the Maryland region. Kenyona has a background in Telecommunications and has provided Program Management and leadership during her tenure in this field. She has served as a Social Worker, Social Work Field Educator, and Psychotherapist. She has years of experience leading organizations, providing business development for start-ups, and managing organizational changes. She has provided training and leadership development as a SaaS Consultant. In her free time, she enjoys parenting, gardening, and caring for her farm animals. She is an autism mom and a strong advocate for those with Autism Spectrum related disorders.

Elizabeth Stemley
Elizabeth Stroman Mitchell Stemley serve as the Susanna Wesley House, Inc., Board President begging in 2019. She holds a Bachelor of Art in Sociology from Southern University A &M Collage in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Master of Social Work-MSW, Advance Studies in Administration, Community Organization, planning and evaluation from the State University at Buffalo. New York City. As well as certificates in planning from the Maryland State University - Department of Social Work. Elizabeth is a Certified Lay Ministry-CLM in the United Methodist Church serving at Historic, Sharp Steet Memeorial United Methodist Church. Past Worth Mation, Calvary Chapter #32, Order of the Eastern Star-PHA. State of Maryland and Its Jurisdiction, Inc. Past President for BWC-United Wowen in Faith. Co -Director for BWC-Lay Servant Ministry. and a member of Alpha Zeta Chapter- Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. Elizabeth retired from the Maryland State Department of Human Resources after 30 years of services. She considers herself as a trail blazer with a passion for serving and transforming others to become successfully.

Colleen Cates
Colleen F. Cates, a member of the Board of Directors National Office United Women in Faith (formerly United Methodist Women) (2016-2024), is a member of Gwynn Oak UMC (Baltimore). Since 2008, she has been on the Board of Directors for the Susanna Wesley House Inc, (SWH. She has served as president of the board from 2012-2014 and presently serves as secretary. Colleen has remained active with the board because, “It’s great being involved in a mission that is a helpful resource for women and their children needing to transition from homelessness to permanent housing. SWH provides a safe clean home and ensures viable programs for the residents to obtain independent living.
She has been a member of the Black Methodist for Church Renewal (BMCR) since 2010, and currently serves as treasurer. In October 2023, she was elected as the Vice Coordinator for the Northeastern Jurisdiction BMCR. Colleen retired from the Social Security Administration, as a Program Analyst, in 2017, after 42 years of service.

Linda Yost
The Lord led Linda and family to move from Baltimore to Hampstead, MD in Carroll County in 1995. As a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, she serves as Lay Member to Annual Conference, teaches Sunday School to 1st-3rd graders, and is a Certified Lay Servant. She sings in the Wesley Chancel Choir, plays handbells for her church, and is the Music Librarian of Masterworks Chorale of Carroll County in Westminster, where she also sings as an Alto. She is a Susanna Wesley House Board Member, Social Action Coordinator of her local United Women in Faith unit, Immediate Past President of the Conference United Women in Faith Leadership Team, and Dean of the Mission u Cooperative School Committee. Her heart is committed to mission locally, nationally, and globally.

Kim Walker
Kim Marie Walker was born in Plainfield, New Jersey, and raised in Baltimore, MD by her paternal grandmother. She now lives in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, and is employed by Syneos Health as a Manager of Clinical Operations. She became a Local Church Lay Servant in March 2015, a Certified Lay Servant in September 2015, and a Certified Lay Minister in 2018 all within the Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church and now serves as President of the Baltimore-Washington Conference United Women in Faith (United Methodist Women), Programs Pastor for the Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church, Millersville, MD, Affiliated CLM for The Journey of Faith United Methodist Church, Waldorf, MD and Director Annapolis District Lay Servant Ministry for the Baltimore-Washington Conference. Her sole mission in life is to be a servant of God where she can empty out everything that God has given her into the lives of others and return back to God to be refilled as this is why I support the mission for SWH.
